Medford Resident Chris Vasiliadis Publishes First Book
"Ignition: A Professional Woman's Guide to Energized, Burnout-Proof Living" emerged from Vasiliadis's work as a health coach.

MEDFORD, MA — Medford resident Chris Vasiliadis has published her first book, which emerged from her work as a health coach. "Ignition: A Professional Woman’s Guide to Energized, Burnout-Proof Living" is a personal growth book that ushers women into ways of doing and being that ignite their energy and avoid burnout.
Vasiliadis's own multiple sclerosis diagnosis indirectly led to her embarking on a health coaching career. She said she wrote "Ignition" to help women "press pause," re-evaluate the business that's running them into the ground and elevate their performance.
The three-part book uses exercises, questions, tips and women's stories to allow readers to craft a unique 90-day action plan to "burnout-proofing" their lives.

"It makes me sad to see women on the perpetual 'hamster wheel' of chronic doing in how they’re running their lives: putting themselves and their quality of life and health on the back burner, to the point of depleting themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and/or spiritually," Vasiliadis said in a statement. "Making themselves feel guilty or beating themselves up over attempts to do it all, with perfection, and without asking for help. We have forgotten that we’re human BEINGS, not human DOINGS: there are other ways do and be to address what’s important, yet allow us to engage and perform in healthy, even enjoyable, ways."
Vasiliadis is a Wellcoaches graduate and National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. She has lived in Medford for nine years.
