Medford Restaurant Owner Robert Darakjian Passes Away

Darakjian, who owned Moulton's Seafood Restaurant, died Nov. 29 at the age of 69.

MEDFORD, MA — Longtime Medford restaurant owner Robert Darakjian has died at the age of 69. Darakjian passed away Nov. 29, according to his obituary.

Darakjian was the proprietor of Moulton's Seafood Restaurant on Winthrop Street.

Moulton's started as a fish market in 1945 before it was sold and turned into a restaurant in the 1990s. Darakjian, previously ran a spa with his wife, Helyn, owned and operated the restaurant for many years.

Darakjian was a "devoted husband and father" and "enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies and working in his yard," according to his obituary.

His funeral mass will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, prior to the mass, from 10 to 11 a.m.
