Medford Sets In-Person High School Graduation Plan

The ceremony will be at Hormel Stadium, with graduates allotted two guests apiece.

MEDFORD, MA — The commencement ceremony for Medford High School seniors will be held in person this year. The Class of 2021 will graduate June 2 at Hormel Stadium, with a rain date to be announced.

Graduates will be allowed two guests on the field with them.

Last week, district volunteers began delivering lawn signs to seniors. If you have not received a sign, reach out to pcushing@medford.k12.ma.us.

It will be Medford's first in-person graduation ceremony since the start of the pandemic. The Class of 2020's commencement was rescheduled to last August but ultimately canceled amid a spike in COVID-19 cases among high schoolers.

The district instead held a virtual ceremony and hand-delivered diplomas to the graduates.
