Medford Snow Parking, Removal Rules For Winter 2020
Residents are advised to park on the even side of the street whenever a significant amount of snow is forecasted.
MEDFORD, MA — Parking is only allowed on the even side of the street in Medford during a snow emergency, according to a city ordinance. Medford did not declare a snow emergency during Saturday's storm, but residents are encouraged to park on the even side of the street when snow is expected in case an emergency is called.
When snow is forecasted, residents are asked to:
- Make sure your cars are parked close to the curb
- If possible, move your car to the even side of the street
- Plan ahead for snow shoveling
Sidewalks must be shoveled within six daylight hours of the end of a snow storm. Residents who fail to do so will be fined $25 for the first offense and then $50 per day.
