Medford Snow Storm: Will it Stay or Will it Go?

An up-and-down forecast leaves residents uncertain of snow totals heading to Medford this weekend.

MEDFORD,MA—While it seems that Medford may not receive the brunt of the damage being caused by this weekend’s snowstorm, it is not outside of the realm of possibility that snow could still be coming this weekend.

The National Weather Service predicted Thursday that Medford would likely receive less than one inch of snow on Saturday into Sunday, and might have missed the winter weather all together.

Now it seems that the storm has changed its course, and that Medford will be seeing noticeable snow accumulations on Saturday into Sunday. While snow is not expected to be forcibly dumped on the region, noticeable accumulations could force you to whip out those ice scrapers and snow shovels.

According to the National Weather Service’s most updated forecast, there is a 50 percent chance of snow on Saturday night. Accumulations could exceed previous expectations and total around one to two inches. Skies will be mostly cloudy and temperatures will drop as low as 20 degrees.
