Medford Southern Food, Live Music Spot Aims For Summer Opening
The restaurant's move from Wakefield to Medford was announced over a year ago, but it appears to be closing in on an opening date.
MEDFORD, MA — Good things come to those who wait, and that may be the case with The Porch-Southern Fare. The southern food and live music hotspot, which closed in Wakefield last June, was first announced in Medford over a year ago.
At the time, it was projected to open in the fall, but was later delayed until spring 2019. Now The Porch is projected to open in July, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
Post told Boston Restaurant Talk last year the restaurant will include live music, a bar and cocktail lounge, pool tables, a private dining room and outdoor seating. The restaurant will have the "same food, totally different experience," Post wrote on the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook page in January.

Mayor Stephanie M. Burke shared a photo of The Porch storefront at River's Edge on her Instagram page last week. The restaurant will be located at 100 Rivers Edge Drive.
