Medford Third Grader Wins Third Place In Writing Contest

Jonah Siegel, a third-grader at the Brooks Elementary School in Medford, won third place in MWRA's annual writing contest.

MEDFORD, MA - The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority recently announced Jonah Siegel, a third-grader at the Brooks Elementary School in Medford, won third place in MWRA’s annual writing contest.

This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to write essays or poems that describe the benefits of ending the dumping of sludge into Boston Harbor in 1991.

An awards ceremony was held on May 27 at the Deer Island Treatment Plant.
