Medford's Bread & Circus Bakehouse Closing

MEDFORD, MA — Bread & Circus Bakehouse, a longtime bakery supplier, will shut down next month, Boston Restaurant Talk reported. The Middlesex Avenue business is set to close July 17, with many workers transferring to jobs at area Whole Foods locations.

The supermarket chain replaced area Bread & Circus locations in the early 1990s, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The bakehouse makes items such as cakes, pies, pastries, breads and other baked goods for Whole Foods.

Bread & Circus Bakehouse is located at 300 Middlesex Ave.
