Medford's New Plow 'Luke Sidewalker' Makes Debut
A long time ago, on a sidewalk far, far away...

MEDFORD, MA – If you see the new guy puttering around Medford's sidewalks Thursday, make him feel at home. "Luke Sidewalker" is the latest addition to the city's plowing fleet, purchased to help improve pedestrian walkways, crosswalks and intersections.
The Medford Public Library and Mayor Stephanie M. Burke asked residents to vote on the plow's name and announced "Luke Sidewalker" as the winner on Wednesday. He'll be thrown in the deep end today, as a snowy mess continues to blanket Medford.
"The library community is very excited about this plow, and came forward with some great ideas," Medford Children’s Librarian Sam Sednek said in a release. "We’re all glad to know that the Force will always be with Medford now that Luke Sidewalker is on the job!"
