New Medford Mayor Stephanie Muccini Burke Thanks Voters

Medford elected a new mayor to replace the retiring Michael McGlynn in last Tuesday’s municipal election. Stephanie Muccini Burke outlasted Robert Penta to become the city’s first elected mayor in 28 years.

Burke took to Facebook to thank everyone who voted for and supported her.

Hello friends,

Thank you for all your support and hard work throughout this campaign.

I would like to thank all the candidates who put their ideas forward, put themselves and their families in public eye, and will continue to be involved in making Medford a better place for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of this grassroots effort - your time and energy truly made the difference. I am humbled by the support and friendships I have made and am truly blessed to have you all in my life!
