MALDEN, MA - Malden has its first microbrewery.
Idle Hands Craft Ales Brewery and Tap Room located at 89 Commercial Street held a ribbon cutting to celebrate their new location and Malden’s first microbrewery this week. Idle Hands is a family-owned craft brewery producing a wide array of Belgian and German-inspired ales and lagers, a release said.
The focus of Founder and Head Brewer Chris Tkach and his wife Grace, is to provide the freshest beer possible for the metro Boston market in a range of styles that go beyond the usual hop-focused offerings, a release said. Originally launched in 2011 as a small nanobrewery in Everett, the business has grown organically through the years and relocating to Malden has enabled them to open a larger, more inviting facility complete with a tap room for visitors to stop by and enjoy a beer, a release said.
