PHOTOS: Medford Observes Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The city held its annual MLK Day celebration Monday at the St. Raphael Parish Center.

MEDFORD, MA — The city observed Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday at the St. Raphael Parish Center on High Street. The event was sponsored by the Mystic Valley NAACP, Medford Human Rights Commission, Medford Office of Diversity, Medford Interfaith Clergy Association and MHS Center for Citizenship and Social Responsibility (CCSR).

The observance included essays from Medford High School students and community conversations. Author, poet and artist Terry Carter served as the keynote speaker.
