Residents Displaced By Weekend Fire In Medford

The fire department said the fire escaped the chimney and spread through the walls of the home.

MEDFORD, MA — A fire in Medford Saturday night is believed to have spread from a fireplace, the fire department said.

Flames escaped the chimney and spread through the walls of the Elm Street home, the department said. Firefighters quickly brought it under control.

No injuries were reported, but the residents of the home were displaced.
