Retired Medford Firefighter Rick Sweeney Dies
Sweeney retired in 2016 after serving the Medford Fire Department for 32 years.
MEDFORD, MA — Retired Medford firefighter Rick Sweeney has passed away, Medford Firefighters Local 1032 announced Friday.
In a statement on Facebook, the union said Sweeney joined the Medford Fire Department in 1984 and retired in 2016 after 32 years of service. His son, Joe Sweeney, is an active Medford firefighter.
"Please keep the Sweeney family in your thoughts during this tremendously difficult time," the union said.
