Trooper Dragged During Traffic Stop in Medford
A Lawrence man is facing charges of assault on an officer and resisting arrest.

A Massachusetts was arrested after allegedly dragging a Massachusetts State trooper with his car after a traffic stop in Medford.
The suspect, from Lawrence, is charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest after he allegedly hit the gas during a traffic stop Sunday, taking the trooper with him, WHDH, 7 News reports. The officer broke free after being dragged a short distance and ran back to his cruiser to chase the car down.
Another trooper caught up with the car in Everett and took the suspect into custody. He is being held at the State Police barracks. Police have not yet released the man’s name.
