The suspect was reportedly approached while inside the school and offered assistance, according to Belson, but not questioned.

Parents of students at the middle school on 3002 Mystic Valley Parkway were left startled and concerned over the incident.

Several “petrified” parents spoke to Patch about the incident, calling it a “disgrace.” Some called for the implementation of security cameras in the school.

Belson said school officials have addressed the problem. The school has discussed ways to strengthen security measures in order to prevent such an incident from happening again.
