Wynn Resorts Makes Newsweek's 'Top Green Companies' List
The casino/resort chain slated to open a new location in Everett gets a nod for environmental friendliness.
Here’s some potentially soothing news for anyone worried Wynn Resorts will mess up the environment when the company opens a new casino in Everett.
A press release from the organization says it has been ranked 100 out of the 500 companies included in Newsweek Magazine’s “Top Green Companies in the U.S.” list for 2015.
We’re told the rankings are based on energy productivity, water productivity, carbon productivity, and other factors.

“Environmental sustainability is an important part of our long-term success as a company,” Maurice Wooden, president of Wynn Las Vegas, said in the presser.
“We continue to challenge ourselves to improve our efficiency by regularly testing our programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative methods to maintain the integrity of our environment and our resort.”

Wynn is currently setting up offices at Station Landing in Wellington Circle in Medford.
Wynn Everett reps say that when completed, the resort will include 600 hotel rooms, a spa, shops, and places to eat. Presumably, it will also include gambling apparatuses of various types.
