Another Melrose Main Street Eatery Shuts Down

MELROSE, MA — More bad news on the Melrose restaurant front: Tsukji Bistro, the Asian/sushi spot above Stearns & Hill's Bistro on Main Street, has closed after a very short run. Tsukji opened late last year, just a few storefronts over from Gerry's Pizza, which Patch reported this week also appears to have closed.

A sign on the door says Tsukji is "temporarily closed," but the people at Stearns & Hill indicated to Patch it's more than temporary.

Tsukji was active in delivering coupons (at least at this reporter's home) and did well to promote its existence - hanging a large banner across the building - but it struggled to get a foothold in a crowded downtown.
