Daytime Route 1 Lane Closures Scheduled In Saugus

The right northbound lane will be closed during the day for the first week of 2021.

SAUGUS, MA — There will be partial closures of the right lane on the northbound side of Route 1 for the first week of 2021.

The Department of Transportation said the lane will be closed near Walnut Street in Saugus from Jan. 4-8 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Workers will be preparing to replace overhead sign structures as part of a $5.4 million project impacting Route 1 from Chelsea to Danvers.
