YMCA of Metro North Hosts Holiday Drives for Local Children and Families.

The YMCA of Metro North is hosting its annual holiday charity drives to help make the wishes of children and families come true. We're collecting toys, coats, presents for children, gift cards, and more this season to distribute to our neighbors in need. Help us create a happy holiday for families by participating in one of these Y Wishes charity drives. You can drop off donations at your local Y or consider shipping a donation of toys or clothes directly from an online retailer to spread some holiday good will and cheer this December.

Learn more about ways to donate below and sign up to participate in the Y Wishes program at https://www.ymcametronorth.org...

MELROSE YMCA
Help the Melrose YMCA make the holiday wishes of a family in need come true this season. We are running a gift card drive at our Main Street location from November 30-December 20. Rather than selecting a toy for a family, you can donate a gift card to Amazon, Target, or a local small business to our drive. Gift cards will be given to families in need at our Y Academy programs across the YMCA of Metro North.

Melrose Y Academy (106 Main Street)
The Melrose Y Academy plans to host its annual Giving Tree again this year to provide gifts for children in the program whose families are in need during the holiday season. Families will provide wish lists and families in the program will sponsor an anonymous child by purchasing gifts from their list for the family.

SAUGUS YMCA
Once again this year, the Saugus YMCA will host its annual Angel Tree program. Due to the devastating effects of the pandemic we have already surpassed our usual request for help from families in our community. We expect that number will continue to climb as the holiday season approaches. We keep all requests for help confidential and on our Angel Tree you will find only the age and interests of the child you are providing for. Please consider being an angel this year. Stop by the Saugus Family YMCA lobby to take an angel off our tree to fulfill the wishes of one boy or girl in need.

YMN Gymnastics Center Toy Drive in Saugus
The Gymnastics Center is committed to helping those in need. Through December 18th we will be collecting new, unwrapped gifts for children of all ages. We know there are many giving opportunities available to you and we greatly appreciate you considering a donation to our cause.

STONEHAM Y ACADEMY
The staff and families at the Stoneham Y Academy are excited to bring back their annual winter coat drive this year! Y Academy families and community members are encouraged to drop off an unused coat at the Stoneham Y Academy to be donated to a child in our other YMCA of Metro North Y Academy programs.
