WHY: For the first time, the defending New England Collegiate Baseball League Champion North Shore Navigators are teaming up with MDA to raise funds to strike out neuromuscular diseases. Fifty percent of proceeds will benefit the Association.

The North Shore Navigators are a member of the East Division of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The team captured their first title under the Navigators’ name in 2010.
MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat 43 neuromuscular diseases through worldwide research, comprehensive services and professional public health education.
In addition to funding ground-breaking research, MDA maintains more than 200 hospital-affiliated clinics nationwide. Funds raised by this event will also support MDA’s summer camp for children with muscular dystrophy at Camp Allen in Bedford, N.H.
