North Shore Navigators Game Raises Funds to Battle Muscular Dystrophy

WHO:             The North Shore Navigators and the Muscular Dystrophy Association

WHAT:           $6 general admission for the North Shore Navigators vs. Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide baseball game to benefit MDA

WHEN:           Tuesday, July 19 at 6:15 p.m.

WHERE:        Fraser Field (Navigators home field) located at 365 Western Avenue in Lynn, Mass.

WHY:              For the first time, the defending New England Collegiate Baseball League Champion North Shore Navigators are teaming up with MDA to raise funds to strike out neuromuscular diseases. Fifty percent of proceeds will benefit the Association.

The North Shore Navigators are a member of the East Division of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The team captured their first title under the Navigators’ name in 2010.

MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat 43 neuromuscular diseases through worldwide research, comprehensive services and professional public health education.

In addition to funding ground-breaking research, MDA maintains more than 200 hospital-affiliated clinics nationwide. Funds raised by this event will also support MDA’s summer camp for children with muscular dystrophy at Camp Allen in Bedford, N.H.
