Family Friendly Rock 'n Roll Arrives In Melrose Saturday
Free live music invades the new Melrose Common Playground midday on June 6.
It won’t exactly be Boston Calling, but at least Melrose residents can bring their kids and not have to pay a few hundred dollars to hear live music.
The City of Melrose website has announced that the grand opening of the new Melrose Common Playground at Laurel and Larrabee Streets will be celebrated with a music festival on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Performances include the the sunny pop rock of Ben Rudnick and Friends (think Raffi meets the Grateful Dead),the rockabilly vibes of Matt Heaton, and music therapist Meredith Pizzi.
