Fitzgerald PT/Melrose 5K Run/Walk Set For December

Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates is pleased to announce that they are partnering with the Melrose Fire Department to create the first annual virtual 5K run/walk on December 6th at 11 a.m.

A portion of this year’s proceeds will go to the Melrose Fire Department Boston University EMS Scholarship Fund. This will allow a Melrose, MA graduating Senior to attend Boston University’s Emergency Medical Technician Program. Boston University is one of the nation’s top ranked universities has been training Emergency Medical Technicians for over 20 years.

Registration is $35 per person in advance. The first 100 to register will receive a free T-shirt to be picked up at our Melrose location prior to the race. Participants can walk, run, push a stroller, or just participate by registering.

“We are excited to be hosting this event for the community! My husband is a firefighter, and this is a great way to give back to our local fire department and a student in need” says Holly Fitzgerald, owner of Fitzgerald Therapy Associates.

“We are excited to be partnering with Fitzgerald PT as we were unable to have our annual Melrose Fire 5K on Father’s Day this year. This is a great way for us to still be able to help a Melrose student and keep the EMS scholarship fund going” says Matt Arcovio, head of the Melrose Fire 5K and member of the Melrose Fire Department.

Fitzgerald started her business 18 years ago seeking to help the community get relief from their physical pain. They now have grown into two locations in Melrose and in Woburn.
