Hello from Returning Melrose Patch Editor

Here is a sampling of five things to know on Wednesday, Aug. 21 in Melrose:

1. He's back! Mark Ouellette (that's me!) returned as editor of Melrose Patch on Tuesday. I have worked for Patch for nearly three years and in that time I have served as the local editor for the Stoneham, Winchester and Melrose websites. I will also be serving as the local editor for Malden Patch.

2. Local session: Here's a look at a meeting set for Wednesday in Melrose, according to the city website:

• Melrose Cultural Council, 7:30 p.m., Milano Senior Center

3. Bright skies: It is expected to be sunny on Wednesday in Melrose, with temperatures peaking in the high 80s and overnight lows in the upper 60s.

4. Library programs: Take a gander at Melrose Public Library programs slated for Wednesday, according to the library website:

• Melrose Theater Parents, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Meeting Room
• Friends of Melrose Public Library Marketing Meeting, 7-8:45 p.m., Trustees Room
