Horace Mann School to Host Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts, Dance Program

Here are five things to know for Wednesday, Jan. 29 in Melrose:

1. There will be an Afro-Brazilian martial arts, dance and music program from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Horace Mann Elementary School, according to the events calendar on the Melrose Public Schools website.

2. There will be an English Conversation session from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Trustees Room at Melrose Public Library, according to the events calendar on the library website.

3. The Knitting Group will be meeting from 7-8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Upper Lobby of Melrose Public Library, according to the events calendar on the library website.

4. The Melrose Retirement Board is slated to meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Retirement Office at City Hall, according to an agenda on the city website.

5. In case you missed it, the City of Melrose recently announced that they have reached a Surrounding Community Agreement with Mohegan Sun.
