Uninhabitable Melrose Home Selling For...Wait, HOW MUCH?!
Did they misplace a decimal point?

MELROSE, MA — You can't say the insane Melrose real estate market is cooling off anytime soon.
The Lebanon Street home rendered uninhabitable by a three-alarm fire in early March recently hit the market, as first mentioned by The Boston Globe. No one was injured when the blaze ripped through the top of 504 Lebanon Street.
The listing, which you can find here on realtor.com, comes right out with it. "Property uninhabitable due to fire," the first line reads. But the selling point is the 11,120 square foot lot that "offers unique development opportunity in one of the hottest zip codes in the country!"

No one has been allowed to go inside during the open house showings, the Globe reported, but the owner has received numerous offers. Enough offers that he upped the asking price from $600,000 to $650,000. And if the owner doesn't get a good enough offer, the real estate agent told the Globe, he'll rebuild.
