Melrose Bests Wakefield in Thanksgiving Day Football Game

In their annual Thanksgiving day game, the Melrose High School football team bested Wakefield Memorial 13-7 Thursday at Fred Green Field in Melrose, according to the MaxPreps website.
"The score was knotted at zero heading into the half. The Red Raiders took the lead indefinitely on a touchdown run in the fourth quarter," reads the site. "Wakefield Memorial's only touchdown came on a run in the third quarter."
In 2012, Melrose beat the Warriors 28-15 on Thanksgiving in Wakefield.
