Melrose Cub Scout Pack 615 Registration Night is Friday

Here are five things to know for Friday, Sept. 13 in Melrose:

1. Sign-up time: Melrose Cub Scout Pack 615 registration night kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday at Melrose Highlands Congregational Church, according to an event posting on Melrose Patch.

2. Kids Club is back: The Melrose Kids Club kicks returns on Friday, with the first program running from 10-11 a.m. at Memorial Hall. Roman Music Therapy will be the featured entertainer.

3. Teen Center trip: Teen Trip Night to the Route 1 Arcade in Saugus is slated for Friday night, as the bus departs from Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School at 7 p.m. sharp, according to Mayor Rob Dolan's blog. Students in grades 6-8 will be taking the trip to the arcade.

4. In case you missed it: Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz will be having a baseball clinic from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Melrose High School.

5. Looking ahead: The city's water flushing program concludes the week of Sept. 16, according to the mayor's blog.
