Melrose Election Preview: Candidates, Voting Times, Polling Locations

The City of Melrose’s Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3. All registered voters are urged to participate in the election. In each voting ward, voters will elect a new alderman-at-large, an alderman, and school committee members. Melrose’s current mayor is running for re-election unopposed.

Here’s a complete check on everything you need to know before heading out to the polls Tuesday.

Polling Times: Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

Mayoral Candidates: Robert J. Dolan

Alderman-at-Large Candidates: Jean-Daniel G. Larock, Monica Medeiros, Michael Zwirko, Mary Beth McAteer Margolis, Donald L. Conn, Jr.

Alderman Candidates: Joseph Musto, John Nicholas Tramontozzi, Jennifer Lemmerman, Francis Wright Jr., Mark Askenazy, Robert Boisselle, Anthony Fera, Gail M. Infurna, Peter D. Mortimer, Scott M. Forbes

Ballot Question: Shall the City of Melrose be allowed to assess an additional $2,250,000 in real estate and personal property taxes for the purposes of funding two additional police officers and supplementing the operating budgets of the public schools for which the monies from this assessment will be used for the fiscal year beginning July 1st, 2015?
