Melrose Football Advances to Sectional Finals With Win Over Wayland
The Red Raiders knocked off Wayland in the semi-final round of the MIAA playoffs on Friday night.
The Melrose High School varsity football team knocked off Wayland 41-17 Friday night. In victory, the Red Raiders advanced to the championship round of the MIAA North Division 3 Northwest playoff bracket.
The Red Raiders upped their record to 9-0 on the season, enjoying an offensive outburst against a stout Wayland squad.
Melrose will next play on Friday, Nov. 13 against Concord-Carlisle at Fred Green Field.
