Melrose Football to Host Wayland in MIAA Semi-Finals Contest
The 8-0 Red Raiders will battle the 6-2 Warriors in second-round playoff action this Friday night at Fred Green Field.
The Melrose High School varsity football team will host Wayland High School Friday night in a semi-finals playoff contest at Fred Green Field.
The Red Raiders, who are the top ranked team in the Division 3 Northwest tournament, blanked Wakefield 21-0 in an opening-round game this past Friday. Wayland crushed Arlington 41-7 to set up this marquee matchup.
Melrose will put its 8-0 record on the line against the 6-2 Warriors.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the tournament’s final round.
