MELROSE, MA — The defending Division 4 Super Bowl champion Red Raiders kick off their title defense Friday night, Sept. 7. Melrose hosts Malden at 7 p.m. at Fred Green Field.

Melrose finished last season a perfect 13-0, beating Nashoba, 21-0, in the Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium, the team's first state championship.
