Melrose High School to Take Part in WGBH Quiz Show
Melrose High School will compete with 140 schools for one of 16 spots in the knockout-style tournament.

Will Melrose High School be among the 16 teams that will qualify for one of the top high school quiz competitions in the state?
Melrose will take part in WGBH’s High School Quiz Show next month when they take part in the show’s Super Sunday qualifier. The school will be among 140 teams that are scheduled to participate in the qualifier set for Nov. 15.
The top 16 teams will advance to compete in the televised, single-elimination, bracketed academic tournament that will determine a state champion. The season will culminate in the winner taking on the winner of New Hampshire Public Television’s Granite State Challenge for the Governor’s Cup.

This season’s Governor’s Cup Challenge will be hosted by WGBH.
High School Quiz Show is endorsed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education and the Massachusetts PTA. Questions on the show are aligned with the Massachusetts high school curriculum standards in subjects that include literature, history, science and math, as well as current events and general knowledge.
