The teams faced a brief moment of sun, followed by cold winds, intermittent rain and even some hail for the annual Thanksgiving Varsity Football game. Superbowl-bound Melrose came out on top this year.

The half-time show included performances by both high school bands, the WMHS dance teams, and a field-goal kicking contest.

Next up, undefeated Melrose has a Super Bowl to play on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro against Plymouth South, starting at 3:30 p.m.
