Melrose To Open MIAA Football Playoffs Against Dracut

The Red Raiders take on the Midshipmen in the first round of the football tournament.

MELROSE, MA – Undefeated Melrose heads to the MIAA Football North Division 4 tournament, taking on Dracut Oct. 27 at home.

The Red Raiders, seeded first with a 7-0 record, will kick off the tournament against the eighth-seeded Midshipmen, who enter the tournament with a 2-4 record.

The winner will head to the semi-finals.

The MIAA switched to a playoff format in 2010. The state semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of November 17 and 18, with state championship games scheduled for December 2 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
