Melrose School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

MELROSE, MA — The first day of school in Melrose is August 29 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Melrose School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/29: First Day of School for Students
• 8/31 and 9/3: No School (Labor Day Observance)

• 11/12: Veterans Day Observance
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21 Martin Luther King Day Observance

February

• 2/18- 2/22: No School (February Vacation)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)
• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day Observance)

June

• 6/12: Schools Close (noon dismissal)
• 6/19: Schools Close (noon dismissal)
