Middlesex County Sobriety Checkpoint This Weekend

There will be a sobriety checkpoint performed by State Police at an unidentified place in Middlesex County this weekend. Police said the checkpoint will be from Friday, March 13 into Saturday, March 14.

"The purpose is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways," police said in the announcement.

Police do not identify in advance where the checkpoints take place.
