Middlesex League Agrees On Fall Sports Schedule
Varsity field hockey, golf and soccer teams would play 10 games and cross country would have five meets, all within the conference.

The Middlesex League has agreed on a limited fall sports schedule including cross country, field hockey, golf and soccer.
The fall sports season would begin Sept. 21. The first golf match would be Sept. 28 and first contests for soccer, field hockey and cross country would be Oct. 3.
Varsity field hockey, golf and soccer teams would play 10 games, all within the conference. Sub-varsity field hockey, golf and soccer teams would play eight games, all within the conference. Cross country would have five meets.

Varsity would play on Saturdays from Oct. 3 - Nov. 21, as well Oct. 12 (Columbus Day) and Nov. 12 (Veterans Day.) Sub-varsity would have the same schedule except for not playing the holidays.
Cross country meets would be Saturdays from Oct. 10 - Nov. 14.

Fall sports that don't play this season may be moved to the "Fall 2" season beginning in February.
Individual school districts still must approve the Middlesex League proposal. The league is comprised of Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Lexington, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, Watertown, Wilmington, Winchester and Woburn.
Some school districts that are stating remote-only, such as Melrose Public Schools, must receive School Committee approval to participate in the regularly scheduled fall season.
