New Melrose Firefighters, Policeman to Be Sworn in on Sept. 11

Here are five things to know for Wednesday, Sept. 11 in Melrose:

1. Meeting time: The Beebe Estate Board of Trustees meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Beebe Estate, according to the city website.

2. BOA session: The Melrose Board of Appeals meet at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Aldermanic Chamber at City Hall, according to the city website.

3. In case you missed it: A Melrose man accused of dealing crystal meth to undercover police officers in Boston on Sunday was arraigned on Monday.

4. Swearing in ceremony: The city will host a swearing in ceremony for new firefighters and a policeman at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the flag monument outside the Melrose Fire Department headquarters. 

5. Library activity: The Melrose Knitting Group meets from 7-8:45 p.m. Wednesday at Melrose Public Library, according to the library website.
