No Water Flushing This Week in Melrose

1. No water flushing: The city won't be conducting any water flushing from Tuesday, Sept. 3 through Friday, Sept. 6, according to the city website.

2. Historic District Commission meeting: The Melrose Historic District Commission is set to meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the basement conference room at City Hall, according to the city website.

3. Human Rights Commission session: The Melrose Human Rights Commission is expected to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Mayor's Conference Room at City Hall,  according to the city website.

4. Back to school: Students of Melrose Public Schools return to class on Tuesday following the Labor Day weekend.

5. Local forecast: Showers and thunderstorms are likely between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, with the rest of the day expected to be partly sunny, according to the forecast for Melrose on the National Weather Service website. During the day, temperatures may hit a high of about 81 and an overnight low of 59, according to the forecast.
