Obituary for Mark David Goodhue

Mr. Goodhue graduated from UMass Lowell and was on the rugby team while attending college. Mark was the owner of Baystate Weatherization & Construction LLC which he started over 4 years ago.

Mark David Goodhue passed away suddenly on July 3, 2013, he was only 35 years of age. Mark was born in Stoneham, raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1996 and was the captain of the swim team. 

Mr. Goodhue graduated from UMass Lowell and was on the rugby team while attending college. Mark was the owner of Baystate Weatherization & Construction LLC which he started over 4 years ago. He worked closely with numerous non-profit groups associated with the Department of Energy; LEO in Lynn, Action in Boston and Action in Gloucester. Prior to starting this company he owned and operated Goodhue Painting in Melrose for over 8 years. 

Mark was a longtime Melrose resident and had most recently moved to Rowley. His family and friends were very important to him and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Mr. Goodhueenjoyed riding ATV's, going camping, trips to Vermont, but most of all he loved just being with his family and friends. Mark was the beloved husband of Kelly E.F. (Fitzpatrick) Goodhue. 

Cherished father of Jake D. Goodhue and Jake's soon to be born sibling. Devoted son of David & Jeannine (Sulliman) Goodhue of Melrose. Loving brother of Nicole Goodhue Boyd & her husband Joshua of Amesbury. Loving son-in-law of George & Sandra Fitzpatrick of FL. Loving brother-in-law of Tracy & John Robitaille and Amy & Mark Rittlinger all of CT. 

Also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, loyal childhood friends, dear friends of Jimmy K and his beloved pet dog Skipper. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, July 8th at 10:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. 

Visiting hours Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Goodhue Family Fund, in care of Melrose Cooperative Bank, 638 Main St. Melrose.
