Obituary: Mary A. Boylen, of Melrose

Mary A. (O’Leary) Boylen passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was 72 years of age.

Mary was born in Melrose on December 1, 1942 to the late Daniel & Helen (O’Connor) O’Leary. Mrs. Boylen was raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at Stone & Webster for many years.

Mary lived in Melrose for many years, she loved to travel and would do volunteer work at local soup kitchens.

Beloved daughter of the late Daniel & Helen (O’Connor) O’Leary. Sister of the late Joan Gridley and the late James O’Leary & his wife Joyce of TN. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces & grand nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Saturday, March 28, 2015 @ 3:00PM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bread of Life, 54 eastern Ave. Malden, MA 02148.
