Officials to Discuss Franklin Street Apartment Project

Weiss Farm project calls for the construction of 264 apartments and 438 parking spaces at 170 Franklin Street.

The Stoneham Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Wednesday to discuss an apartment project planned for Weiss Farm.

Residents in Melrose, Malden, and Stoneham are concerned about the size of the project, its density, the proposed location and the increase in traffic it will almost certainly bring about.

The apartment project is planned for Franklin Street in Stoneham, but it will likely have a significant impact on residents living on the Melrose portion of the street and other secondary roads in the area.
