Route 1 Delays After Power Lines, Utility Pole Ripped Down
Another Route 1 issue in Saugus Tuesday afternoon.

SAUGUS, MA - Route 1 South is seeing serious backups again Monday afternoon after a construction truck ripped down power lines and a utility pole at Essex Landing.
There is a heavy police presence at Essex Landing, which is home to the new Kane's Donuts location - formerly the area with orange dinosaur that overlooked the mini-golf course. National Grid is also on scene.
Boston 25 reported the pole held transformers, which have begun leaking oil.

Some lanes of the highway were blocked off farther north due to a water break. Police were blocking off the on-ramp from Lynn Fells Parkway.
