Son Allegedly Assaults Father in Melrose

At 1:15 a.m. Dec. 18, Melrose Police responded to Tremont Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller claimed that he was being assaulted by his son. A 23-year-old Wilmington man was summonsed on charges of domestic assault and malicious destruction of property over $250. 

Dec. 18

6:20 a.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway at Vinton Street, report of a light pole that had been hit. 

10:40 a.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway near Melrose High School, caller reported that her son was assaulted after school. A 12-year-old was summonsed on a charge of assault.

10:28 p.m.: Perkins Street at Warwick Road, report of an accident. One vehicle was towed from the scene.

Dec. 17

2:59 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway at Green Street, report of a single-car crash.

4:17 p.m.: A person visited the police station to report a past hit-and-run accident in the Berwick Street area.

Dec. 16

11:47 a.m.: Franklin Street at Franklin Terrace, report of a motor vehicle accident.

12:44 p.m.: Main Street near Walgreens, report of an accident.

4:36 p.m.: Lynn Fells Parkway at Tremont Street, report of a three-car accident. State Police were on scene.

6:14 p.m.: Green Street near Compensated Devices, report of an accident.

7:38 p.m.: A Lynde Street resident visited the police station to report fraud.
