Weekend Agenda: Car Wash, Open Houses and More

Here is a sampling of events and activities planned for Aug. 24-25 in the Melrose area:

• The Melrose High School Band and Color Guard will host a free car wash on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the high school parking lot.
  
• Area musician Offiong Bassey will be having a CD release party at 8-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at 1 Bennett St. in Cambridge.
  
• Check out open houses in Melrose!
• Take a gander at some yard sales in the Melrose area.
• Get show times at movie theaters in the Melrose area.
• The Winchester Farmers Market is slated for 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Town Common.
