Melrose Public Works offers a number of recycling events throughout the year for bulk and specialty items.
Here are the remaining events for 2013:
September 21 – Rigid plastics recycling
October 19 – Household Hazardous Waste Day *
November 16 – Plastic bag recycling *
*Some items have a fee (checks only).
The items collected at all events include: CRT’s (televisions, monitors, lap tops), CFL bulbs, books, clothes, tires, mercury items, dried latex paint and white goods. Some items have a small fee (checks only).
Household recycling bins, recycling facility stickers and educational information will also be available.
