In our latest You Ask, Patch Answers post, find out when Melrose will be having curbside collection of Christmas trees.

In our latest You Ask, Patch Answers post, we answer this question: When will Melrose offer curbside pickup of Christmas trees?

According to Mayor Rob Dolan's blog, Melrose Public Works will be having curbside collection of Christmas trees during the first two weeks of January.

"Christmas tree and greens collection will take place citywide in conjunction with the regular curbside schedule from Dec. 30 through Jan. 17," reads the blog. "Please remove the tree stand and all plastic bags, tinsel, twine, lights, ornaments, etc. from the tree. Wreaths and garlands must be free of any wires and decorations; they will not be picked up if any of the above are present."

There will be a new drop-off location at the Public Works Operations Facility, 72 Tremont St., during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the blog.

"Also, as in prior years, trees can be dropped off in the parking lot at Mt. Hood during the first two weeks of January," adds the blog.
