Wow: 1,000+ Kids Volunteer To Participate in Summer Reading
Kids entering grades 6 to 12 can still register for the program through Aug. 7.
It's official: Melrose kids love to read.
The Melrose Public Library announced it has enrolled their thousandth reader in their summer reading program Friday.
It's only the second time the program's participation has broken into the four-digit mark.
The library is still encouraging students entering grades 6 to 12 to register and participate in the program here.
This year's program features a dog theme, offering young readers to weekly treats and a chance to win one of four stuffed dogs featured in the library.
Students win a raffle ticket for every three hours of reading logged on their account.
For more information, call the library at 781-665-2313 ext. 214.
