January Milton Home Sales Dropped by More Than Half Compared to Jan. 2012

Single-family home sales in Massachusetts jumped more than 10 percent in January, according to the Warren Group. 

Sales in Massachusetts reached 2,680 the highest level since 2007, according to new data from The Warren Group, publisher of Banker & Tradesman. January home sales in the Bay State were up over last year's 2,436 sales.

This is the highest January sales volume for single-family homes in Massachusetts in five years, when there were 2,953 transactions in January 2007.

In Mlton, the number of home sales decreased by 55 percent this year, with eight homes sold in January 2013 compared with 18 homes in Jan. 2012. The median sale price for the first month of the year increased from $407,500 in 2012 to $428,500 in 2013.
